Automotive Interior Dash Panel Assembly

FANUC R-2000iA robots in an automotive assembly process showing the construction of an automotive dash panel and a FANUC R-2000iA robot positioning the dash components for assembly by a stationary welder. Another R-2000iA robot fully dressed with a weld gun then continues the welding assembly process.

Also, Two R-2000iA robots position side body panels and wait for the roof panel to be brought in by another R-2000iA robot. The robots then bend over tabs to hold the components in place. This allows an automated framer to adjust the panel position and tack weld them into place.

The automotive body is then welded in predetermined spots by multiple R-2000iA robots. The body is then dimensionally measured and checked for proper hole location and position. The automotive body will then proceed to the paint shop for further completion.
