Robotically Automated Case Packing System - Courtesy of Schneider Packaging

 
 

This robotically automated case packing system developed by Schneider Packaging, features FANUC Robots as they pick, arrange and case pack kits.

Two FANUC LR-Mate 200iC robots use conventional line tracking and FANUC Robotics' PickTool application software to locate and position the kits.  Each robot is equipped with a vacuum gripper. To complete this system, a FANUC M-10iA robot is used to grab four kits at a time and packs them into a box with slips sheets in-between each layer. The LR Mate 200iC robots hand the kits off to each other to properly layer the products for packaging.  The LR Mate robot is programmed so that it picks the kit and hands it off to the second robot so it is positioned correctly.
