FANUC Robot Deburrs Die Cast Aluminum Parts in Automated Deburring Machine - Courtesy of YAC Robots


This Deburring Machine, developed by YAC Robot Systems, utilizes a FANUC LR Mate 200iC/5L robot to de-burr aluminum die cast parts. The robot uses an ATI pneumatic deburring spindle to smooth the parts.

This machine uses two fixtures to deburr two part models. The fixtures are mounted on two sliding units that index the parts in and out of the robot cell. In this case, an operator places one part model per fixture and presses the cycle start button -- There is one cycle start button for each fixture. Then, the LR Mate 200iC robot starts deburring the parts.

When the deburring cycle is finished, the part fixtures slide out. This machine uses two lifter-ejector chute assemblies to lift and eject the finished parts. The ejector chute assembly swings up and down to allow the operator to load parts. In addition, a tool-check & oil mist station are used to check and mist the deburred part with oil.
