Robotic Assembly of Ball Bearings

 
 

A FANUC M-1iA/0.5S assembly robot locates three different size ball bearings using iRVision and places them into a specific bearing tray. When all three trays are full, the bearings are released back into the picking bin. iRVision is then used to determine the size and location of the bearing.

With the combination of high speed and accuracy of the M-1iA robot and iRVision, the parts are placed into a bearing tray. The FANUC M-1iA is designed for small part handling, high speed picking and assembly applications.
