V-iRVision Line Tracking


This course covers the basic tasks and procedures required to set up, teach, test, and modify processes that make use of iRVisual Tracking.

Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student can identify components of a vision system, more specifically:

  • Identify visual tracking equipment
  • Setup the visual tracking line including the work area
  • Setup the line tracking frame and encoder scale
  • Set boundaries
  • Calibrate the camera in conjunction with the conveyor
  • Create a vision process
  • Setup the track sensor
  • Use robot programs to pick parts
  • Test and debug the system

In addition to presentations and demonstrations, this course offers a series of lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab exercises relate directly to the classroom presentations and are intended to reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands-on experience.
Audience: This course is intended for the person who must set-up, program, and troubleshoot an iRVision Line Tracking system using a FANUC Robot equipped with iRVision.
Prerequisites: iRVision 2D and completion of an "Operation & Programming" class.
