This one day lecture course provides a mechanical overview of the FANUC robot in a classroom environment. Also covered are the adjustment and maintenance procedures.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will understand the basic mechanical structure of the robot. This will enable the student to perform adjustments and maintenance on the mechanical unit. More specifically, students completing this course will have an understanding of:
- Mechanical adjustments to the robot.
- Periodic maintenance on the mechanical unit.
Recommended safety procedures are included in all discussions.
This lecture course provides a detailed description of the robot mechanical unit as well as presentation and demonstration of typical FANUC mechanical components. It also includes troubleshooting guidelines, adjustment procedures where applicable and recommended preventive maintenance measures.
In addition to lab exercises, a pretest and posttest are used to measure mastery of objectives.
This course is suggested for personnel needing a familiarization with the FANUC robot mechanical unit, but who do not require a complete Disassembly/Reassembly class. This class will most benefit electrical maintenance technicians, supervisory personnel, oilers and others who work with the robot. This class is particularly recommenced as a follow up to the 4 day/24 hour Electrical Maintenance class.
Previous experience or training in a related field involving mechanical disassembly, repair, and assembly of robots or machine tools
