This course covers the basic tasks and procedures required for an operator, technician, engineer or programmer to set up, teach, test, and modify vision applications using V-500iA/2DV software and an R-J3iB controller.

Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student can identify the components of a vision system, install vision hardware, install and configure communication, develop an application, save and load applications, program the robot, perform error recovery procedures and follow recommended safety practices. More specifically:
- Power up and jog the robot
- Set up robot to computer communication
- Set up and calibrate the camera
- Set up single view (fixed mounted) process
- Set up single view (robot mounted) process
- Set up multi-view (robot mounted) process
- TPP programming
Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises. In addition to presentations and demonstrations, this course offers a series of lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab exercises relate directly to the classroom presentations and are intended to reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands-on experience.
Audience: This course is intended for the person who must install, set up, program, and troubleshoots a visLOC vision system using FANUC Robots and COGNEX/FANUC Software and equipment.
Prerequisites: HandlingTool, SpotTool, ArcTool or DispenseTool Operation and Programming, although an understanding of Advanced HandlingTool Programming would be preferred, or KAREL Operations and Programming.
